MC6908 Confederate Regimental Sack Coat - Unlined

This basic seven button sack coat with stand up collar and inner kidney shape pocket is the style North Carolina issued to its troops. It is interesting to note that photographs exist showing Virginia and other state troops wearing this style coat which documents that North Carolina supplied clothing to troops of other states. This style coat is more comfortable than the common shell jackets, especially for larger sizes. This style saw use throughout the Civil War. Buttons not furnished.
