Early American “tobacco” was called Kinni-Kinnick; however, most mixtures contained little or no tobacco. Instead it was a blend of leaves from shrubs, trees, herbs, and chips of root and bark. “Tobacco” served many purposes; as a medicine; as a sacred incense; and smoked in a pipe among friends to indicate friendship and peace Tobacco was often sprinkled over the fire, as tobacco smoke was thought to be a carrier of thought and words to the Creator. Smoking was learned and shared with the early scouts and trappers in their travels westward. It was often used without reason, so tobacco soon became a habit rather than a sacred symbol. This Kinni-Kinnick has been blended of the fines leaves…not only tobacco, but herbs, bark and other leaves with your pleasure in mind. Contains about 2oz. in a zip lock, air tight bag. Blended in the USA.
