PE1321 Double Horsehaed Guard

Highly desirable Bowie Knife fittings made by Peter Dyson & Son, Ltd. Of England. Gunmakers to the Royal Armouries. Turner met Peter Dyson in the 1950s when he was doing restoration work on antiques including was cast replacement parts. This detailed guard is wax cast of brass. Guard (horse's nose to nose) is 3 1/4" wide and is 1 3/4" tall at the center point. Base is 1 1/8" across. Highly polished.
