RP1207 1/2 Hickory Ramrod

American made, 48” straight grain hickory ramrods milled from hand selected hickory slats that have been carefully kiln dried to a moisture content of about 8 %. There are very few places where the atmosphere contains only 8% water, so unless the rod is sealed before use, it will once again absorb moisture and begin bowing. To correct this problem, bend the rod in the opposite direction, then finish with a sealer such as linseed oil, beeswax, etc. No other wood can compare to the thoughness, flexibility, and authenticity of hickory ramrods.
