This reproduction sword is of high quality and fashioned exactly like the original as described in Peterson's, The American Sword, page 43. With polished steel scabbard. Has deeply curved blade, single edged, with a broad blood gutter that runs from the ricasso to within 6" of the point. Not marked US as were the originals. The grip is wood covered with leather and wound with twisted brass wire. The pommel is yellow brass as is the guard bow. Two rings for attaching a sword sling. High Carbon steel 1060.
