TP0806 Mainspring - 1816 Remington Maynard Tape Primer Conversion Mainspring

These ORIGINAL mainsprings have been in our inventory for years but we have only recently been able to identify exactly what thy fit. From 1856 to 1859 Remington made 20,000 locks with the Maynard Tape Primer and supplied these to the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia. These were installed on 1816 Muskets along with other changes to convert flintlock muskets to percussion rifles. The spring is different that the 1816 Flintlock mainspring; unique to this conversion. Original springs, in very good condition; only dried grease present.
