Sidelock style action with plain extractors. 12 gauge with 30" steel barrels. Barrel chambers are 2 3/4" and are choked improved modified and full. The barrels have 98% original blue finish remaining and the bores are excellent. Top rib is matted and manufacturer's name and address is stamped on the top of each barrel. The barrel lock up to the frame is perfectly tight. The frame and sidelocks have about 85% of the original color casehardening which is beginning to fade on the right sidelock. Colors are brilliant everywhere else. Serial number 14606. Excellent medium English scroll engraving is present on various surfaces of the frame, triggerguard and sideplates. Buttstock and forend are of fairly straight grained walnut but are in excellent condition. The splinter forend is nicely checkered and has a horn v-shaped tip. Checkering on the forend and on the round pistol grip shows very little wear. The buttstock is mounted with a serrated horn buttplate which appears to have shrunk slightly away from the wood. Overall condition is excellent plus. Modern long gun rules apply.
