17360 MARLIN MODEL 1881 LEVER ACTION RIFLE

.40/60 caliber with 24 3/8" heavy tapered octagonal barrel. Barrel measures 15/16" across the flats at the muzzle. Full length magazine is located beneath the barrel. Metal coloration overall is dull gray with hints of original blue finish in protected areas. The barrel is mounted with a silver blade front sight and a sporting style rear sight. Markings on the barrel are excellent. Caliber is stamped on the top flat of the barrel above the chamber. Action works well. The walnut forend shows average wear and has a couple of small cracks just ahead of the receiver on the right side. Straight grip buttstock is in fine condition, fitting well and showing about average wear. It is mounted with a standard steel rifle buttplate. Serial number 11250. Overall condition is very good.
