Caliber is .32 Winchester Special. Octagonal barrel is 22" long with a full length magazine beneath it. Take down feature is present. Serial number is 341571, made in 1906. The barrel has about 85% original blue finish with a similar amount remaining on the magazine tube. Facing of the muzzle appears to be factory as does the attachment of the magazine ring. Cody Firearms Museum data sheet accompanying the rifle indicates that it was shipped in 1907 with an octagon barrel and take down feature but no barrel length is specified. Receiver has about 50% blue finish remaining. Dull color casehardening remains on the hammer and the lever. Lyman post style peep sight is present on the tang. All markings on the barrel are excellent. The barrel is mounted with a silver blade front sight and sporting style rear sight. Standard walnut stocks are used. The forend is 9 3/8" long. The buttstock is mounted with a steel rifle buttplate. Stocks have very nice smooth appearance and would grade excellent condition. Considerable figure is present in the buttstock, probably 1x or 2x. Overall condition is about excellent. Modern long gun rules apply.
