Caliber is .30 US. Serial number 52898, made in 1905. The tapered round barrel is 28" long. It has a silver blade front sight mounted on an integral ramp at the muzzle and an adjustable sporting style rear sight. The barrel has 99% of the original blue finish remaining and is excellently marked. The receiver has about 90% original blue remaining and is excellently marked also. Most of the wear to the blue on the receiver is on the top. The breechblock has virtually all of the original blue finish remaining. Action works perfectly. The upper tang behind the hammer is well marked with the model designation and the Winchester trademark. Dull color casehardening remains on the hammer. The standard forend and straight grip buttstock are both in excellent condition with almost all of the original varnish remaining. The buttstock is mounted with a crescent style buttplate which is dull gray in color and fits perfectly. Overall condition is excellent plus. Modern long gun rules apply.
