The Mortimer pistol is a halfstock made from American walnut. Barrel is a .44 caliber, polished bright with a 10" octagon barrel. Twist is a 1 in 18". Front sight is a .210 dovetail blued steel base and blade. Rear sight is an open style, non adjustable, made integral w/hook tang. Furniture is polished bright. Color casehardened nosecap, hook tang and lower entry thimble. Single set trigger. Sliding external safety on lock. Lock is marked "H.W. Mortimer & Son". Barrel also has markings.
