Less than a thousand of these revolving carbines were made from 1866-1879. Originally made in percussion and furnished in .36 and .44 caliber, a few were converted to .38 caliber rimfire, but are rarely found today. Buttstock is of European walnut with satin finish, 3" drop and 14"trigger pull. .44 caliber, blued, 18" tapered octagon barrel. .775 at breech to .675" at muzzle. Cut rifling .006"deep with 1 in 38" twist and 6 lands-.438 and 6 grooves .450. Front sight is 3/8" dovetail, one piece blued steel base and blade. Rear sight 3/8" dovetail blued steel open style, semi-buckhorn w/push elevator. Ignition is percussion and uses #11 size caps, chambers .450 diameter. ( For spare cylinder order CY0608). Blued steel furniture except brass buttplate and triggerguard. Single trigger. The nipple is a 5.5 x 9 (#NP2040-steel). Recommended load is 22 gr. FFFg, .454 round ball or concial bullet, .44 revolver wad. Made in Italy by Uberti.
