Certainly made by the Marlin Firearms Company as it is their design. 12 gauge with 24 1/4" round barrel. The barrel is stamped on top "NATIONAL FIREARMS CO." along with "12Ga" just ahead of the receiver. Typical Marlin style take down mechanism. Barrel is dull gray outside and smooth with no pitting. It is marked "FULL CHOKE" on the left side. Barrel measures to an improved modified choke. Frame is dull brownish gray with no original finish. Edges and corners are lightly rounded from wear. Gun shows moderate use overall. The walnut forend has widely spaced grooves present and the straight grip buttstock has much of the original varnish remaining. Most of the varnish has worn from the straight grip wrist area. Buttplate is a crude replacement. Serial number 124865. Overall condition is about very good. Modern long gun rules apply.
