Serial number is 11533 and the number matches on the loading lever, barrel, frame, triggerguard, backstrap and cylinder. .44 caliber with six-shot cylinder and 7 ½" part round part octagon barrel. Coloration of this gun is dark brown with moderate to heavy pitting in scattered areas on the frame and barrel. Barrel marking reads "ADDRESS SAM'l COLT NEW YORK CITY" within brackets and reading from the front to the rear. Quite a few dents are present on the barrel. Vertical latch is present on the loading lever. The frame is well marked "COLT'S/PATENT/U.S." Brass backstrap and triggerguard are present and show moderate age. One piece walnut grips show considerable wear and are somewhat dry. This is one of the dot series guns with a small dot stamped next to the serial number on various parts. No cylinder scene remains as the cylinder is well worn. Action works but the hand spring is weak and the cylinder stop does not deploy. Overall condition is about good.
