Also known as the Model 1896. Caliber is .32 Smith & Wesson. Round barrel with integral top rib is 4 1/4" long. The barrel has about 65% original blue finish with flaking to the bottom surface ahead of the ejector pin. The frame has about 85% original bright blue finish with one area rubbed to gray on the left side just below the hammer. The cylinder has about 90% original blue finish with excellent manufacturer's address and patent markings on the surface between the flutes. The action lock up is tight and positive and the action works perfectly. Excellent color casehardening remains on the hammer and the trigger. Two piece checkered hard rubber black Smith & Wesson extension grips are present. Grips show no wear. Serial number 15860. Overall condition of the gun is excellent. The gun comes in an unusual black leather holster. Holster is of good quality and has an unusual double loop attachment with a semi flap which covers the top of the revolver. One of the loops has come unsewn but would be easy to repair.
