18570 SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1917 ARMY REVOLVER

Caliber is .45 ACP. 5 ½” barrel with six-shot fluted cylinder. Gun is blued with about 95% of the blue finish remaining. The barrels is excellently marked on top with Smith & Wesson address and patent dates. The left side of the barrel is marked “S & W D.A.45.” Bottom of the barrel in front of the cylinder pin lock is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY.” Good dull color casehardening remains on the trigger with slightly more brilliant colors on the hammer. Cylinder lock-up is tight and positive. Two piece smooth walnut grips are in excellent condition. Lanyard swivel is located on the bottom of the butt. The bottom of the butt is marked “U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/No/57/557.” Overall condition is excellent plus.
