A small and enchanting muzzleloading pistol reproducing one of the most known pistol models of the Napoleonic epoch. For the cavalry, it was manufactured in pairs and was produced until 1819 exclusively by the Imperial Manufacture in Maubeuge for a total of 32,000 pairs. In spite of the production being assigned to the Cendarmerie, these pistols were also assigned to infantry officers. The stock is an American walnut fullstock with a satin finish. Barrel is .595 caliber, armory bright. 5 1/8" tapered round - .965 breech to .750 muzzle. Smoothbore - .595 diameter. Ignition is a flintlock 5/8" size - single shot. Features all steel furniture Armory bright. Lockplate engraved "Maubeuge" over "ManuF. Imp. Overall length is 9 3/4 and weighs 1 3/4". Included is a steel ramrod.
