Overall length is 12”. The barrel is round and 6” long and has a bore of approximately .62 caliber. The barrel is medium brownish gray in color with a small amount of roughness scattered over its surface but mostly smooth. No sights are present. Light British proof marks are present on the upper left side of the barrel. The front action percussion lock mechanism is line border engraved and is also medium gray in color. It is marked on the lockplate “E.L.XXXXE/LONDON.” The name above the “LONDON” is not legible. Lock mechanism is very lightly pitted in scattered areas. Part of the hammer nose is broken away but the nipple is in good shape. The walnut stock extends to within 1” of the muzzle. Stock appears to have been cleaned. A sliver of wood is missing on the right side between the lock and the brass nosecap. Brass furniture comprises the buttcap, triggerguard, ramrod thimble, nosecap and sidelock screw escutcheon. Swivel type ramrod is present. Overall condition is good.
