18943 SMITH & WESSON .38 SAFETY HAMMERLESS REVOLVER

4th Model, made from 1898 to 1907. Blued finish with about 99% of the shiny blue finish present. Five-shot fluted cylinder and 3 ¼” round barrel which tips down for loading. Markings on the barrel are excellent including the manufacturer’s address and patent dates on the top rib. Barrel lockup to the frame is excellent. Brilliant color casehardening remains on the hammer and the action works perfectly. Two piece checkered hard rubber grips are shiny and show no wear. Serial number is 194875. The gun comes in the original red cardboard box with instructions printed inside the lid. The original pale green label is attached to the outside of the box and reads “SMITH & WESSON, NEW 38 DEPARTURE./BLUED.3 1-4 INCH.” Overall condition of the gun is almost mint.
