19486 Custom Flint Rifle by Jackie Brown

This Carolina style rifle is by Jackie Brown of Walnut, Miss. It begins with a 42” x 7/8” x 50 caliber octagon Colerain barrel with a 1 in 56 twist. Front sight is a silver base and blade with a 3/8” dovetail. Rear sight is a steel full buckhorn style with a 3/8” base. “J Brown” is engraved on the top flat. The bore is very good. The lock is an L&R Classic style. The stock is maple showing some curl throughout it length. Color is stained a light reddish brown. The stock does have a small repaired crack at the front of the lockplate that is about 2” long. A single trigger is used with a 13 ¾” length of pull. All steel furniture is aged with a gray/brown patina color consisting of buttplate, triggerguard, sideplate and 2 thimbles. Over all condition is very good.
