Curved, single-edged blade has false edge at point. Broad fuller runs from ricasso to within 6" of point. Grips are wood covered leather; wound with twisted brass wire. Wide ferrule at base of grips. Grips are surmounted by backstrap expanding into lion-head pommel. Knuckle bow is short brass strip bent in reverse P. Blade is 33 1/8" long x 1 1/8" wide; 38 3/8" overall. Scabbard is bright metal w/2 suspension rings and drag.

Ok as a wall hanger
I bought this item to use as part of my cavalry impression, I didn't intend to clang it around with other sabers, simply something that I wanted to hang on my hip that looked slightly different then the other sabers in camp. The handle got loose after only a couple of times examining it. When I went to lightly tighten the nut at the end of the saber handle it snapped off the threads. The tang does travel half to two thirds down the inside of the handle but I wouldn't buy this for any thing other then a wall hanger.
